Rob Wilder, Founder
Prior to founding FoodTech Angels in 2015, Rob was co-founder of Think Food Group (TFG) with José Andrés and currently serves as Vice Chairman. TFG has created more than 30 restaurants internationally with over 1,800 employees, from fast casual to luxury gastronomic experiences. Restaurant Business Magazine recently rated TFG the most innovative multi-concept company in America.
Rob also founded and led Austin Grills until its successful sale in 2006. Rob serves as advisor to portfolio companies and mentor at the Halcyon Incubator (also Advisory Board/Selection Committee), Village Capital Food & Ag Innovation, and Yale Entrepreneurial Institute. He has been a featured speaker at SXSW, TEDx, NRA Innovation, FSTEC, Yale Sustainable Food Program and was also a member of Maryland Angels Council.
Rob is also an active member of YPO/WPO and serves on the Executive Committees of the DC Downtown BID & Federal City Council, as Finance Chair of the Shakespeare Theater Company.
